Cary Rand:
Drawing is a nonverbal activity. Counterintuitive to explain verbally, I can try. You may already know that to draw is to take what presents itself through seeing and thinking, both consciously and unconsciously, with some automaticities and with many determinations, to a 2-D plane. If you understand what it means to call ‘drawing a practice’, then you do not need more explanation.
Formalities: trained at Harvard-Radcliffe, A.B., Museum School, Boston, MA, and Massachusetts College of Art, among other places. I have taught, read, and shared.
Thank you for your time.
